How our bike size calculator works

A result is a chart match, not a prediction of individual fit. Here is how your measurements are used.

Data origin and scope

Adult charts are Bikzer’s inherited editorial references. They are not attributed to a brand or presented as a validated technical standard. Linked sources explain fit checks; they do not validate every adult interval. The children’s chart comes from Trek’s guide, converted to centimetres. The 158 cm upper limit for 26-inch wheels is a scope decision for this tool.

Matching rules

We select rows that include your height, including both endpoints. If you enter inseam and the chart supports it, the same row must also contain that measurement. A mismatch produces a conflict message. All overlapping matches are shown. We do not assign the nearest size outside the ranges or invent data to fill gaps.

Units and geometry

One foot is 12 inches and one inch is 2.54 cm. Internal measurements remain in centimetres when you switch units. Display values may be rounded; matching uses the stored range values. BMX returns top tube and wheel references; dirt returns wheel and geometry references. Inseam does not select a row where no inseam range exists.

What the result cannot assess

We do not measure arm length, mobility, discomfort history, loads, components or riding position. No gender factor is applied. Before buying, compare model, year, geometry and adjustment limits. Triathlon also requires armrest coordinates. Seek an in-person assessment for individual fitting.
