Dirt jump bike size and geometry guide

01 / How to measure

Height

  1. Stand barefoot against a wall and look straight ahead.
  2. Place a level book on your head and mark its lower edge.
  3. Measure from the floor to the mark. Repeat to check consistency.

02 / How to measure

Inseam

  1. Stand barefoot against a wall with your feet slightly apart.
  2. Hold a level book between your legs with firm, comfortable pressure.
  3. Measure from the floor to the top edge. Do not use your trouser inseam.

What a single size really means

One commercial option does not guarantee fit for everyone. Look up reach, top tube length and frame height, plus any manufacturer height recommendations. Two one-size models can feel different because of their frame geometry and fitted handlebars.

Make sense of overlapping ranges

Your height may match several chart entries. The calculator presents them without forcing a winner. A preference for a compact or longer bike should be checked against control, experience and an actual test. Sharing 26-inch wheels does not make an MTB size interchangeable with a dirt jump size.

Check the complete setup

Assess room to move while standing, hand position and access to the brakes. Inseam does not select a row in this calculator; use it as an additional model-clearance check. Follow component limits and the manufacturer’s intended use.

Frequently asked questions

Is the result an exact frame size?

No. It identifies the chart’s wheel and geometry reference. Compare it with the dimensions of the model.

Why do several options appear?

The height ranges overlap. No single dirt jump measurement fits every brand and riding style.

Can I use my MTB size?

Not directly. Dirt jump position and geometry need their own comparison.

Bikzer reference ranges are not universal size conversions between brands. Overlapping ranges provide several options. Charts always show both units.
